DESCRIPTION:PiYo combines the practices of Yoga and Pilates to offer the mindfulness and balance of yoga with the core strengthening and muscle group burn of Pilates. This dynamic fusion class will highlight the similarities and differences between the two practices – and expand your own – by challenging the strength of the whole body and utilizing the breath in new ways. \nGentle PiYo is ideal for all students. This practice will help increase core and body strength\, improve mobility\, flexibility\, and enhance posture. Most of this practice will be taught on the floor\, laying down or seated. This class is designed to be safe for all bodies\, including those with spinal issues like osteoporosis and bulged/herniated discs\, and prenatal and postpartum women. \nGentle PiYo on Fridays at 3.30pm on May 23 & June 6

DESCRIPTION:Mindful Menopause Rites of passage celebrate the social movement of individuals into or out of statuses of critical importance to the individual and to the community. Perimenopause and Menopause is a rite of passage that can be shared with other women to provide support shared experiences. Perimenopause and menopause often include hot flashes\, disrupted sleep patterns\, irregular periods\, mood changes\, joint pain\, and many other symptoms that can interfere with a woman’s quality of life.\n\nYoga has many benefits that can assist women during this rite of passage. This workshop will provide an overview of the many symptoms that can create discomfort in our bodies and minds and an opportunity to reflect on your own journey. We will explore\na mindful yoga practice in a community of women traveling the journey along side you. Whether you are considering adding yoga to your practice or are a seasoned yogi\, this workshop is for you!\n\nA 4-week series will follow the workshop to assist women in creating a menopause practice. This series is meant to support your well-being during this rite of passage. We will focus on the power of your breath\, mindful meditation\, mindful movement and a relaxing savasana.\n\nCome together with other women in a shared community celebrating the journey of our changing bodies.
