Owl Prowl Walk @ Forest Park

$20Join St. Louis’ very own Mark Glenshaw (“The Owl Man”), an award-winning naturalist, who has been studying one of Forest Park’s Great Horned Owls, Charles, and his mates for over 20 years. This two-hour walk through Forest Park will be roughly 2-3 miles, on flat surfaces, uneven surfaces, uphill, and downhill.

What to wear:
– Muted shades of brown, tan, green, gray, and black.
– Footwear that will protect your feet from the cold and/or insects that you don’t mind getting muddy. Closed-toed shoes are required.
– If you have blond or white hair, please wear a hat that covers your hair.
– wool and polyester fabrics
What to bring:
– a backpack
– binoculars, if you have them
– a camera, if you would like (with autofocus sounds muted and flash OFF)
– bug spray – required May through September
– a water bottle, especially during warm months
– a hot beverage in an insulated container during cold weather
What not to wear or bring:
– White or other bright colors
– Fur or fake fur. Owls might attack the clothing, mistaking them for their prey.
– Sandals
– Cotton fabric. It does not wick moisture.
– Jeans, in weather under 50 degrees
