SUP Yoga and Meditation Classes

What

Big Muddy Adventures at Simpson Lake is hosting $5 paddle board yoga and meditation classes throughout the summer. Our instructors are Mandi Grey, Anthony Strauss and Sara Banks. These classes take place on a paddle board. You are welcome to bring your own board or rent one of ours. Register either way to let us know you’re coming!

*In the event of inclement weather, class will be cancelled. We will announce cancellations via email the night before.

Details

Our goal with offering low cost yoga and meditation is for as many different people to enjoy the benefits of these classes as possible. With that in mind, we ask that you book no more than 3 classes at The Boathouse and 3 classes at Simpson Lake in one calendar year.

The expected class duration is 90 minutes total. This includes 60 minutes of yoga or meditation and 15 minutes before and after class to set up, paddle to and from the class location, and put away boards.

No late entry. Students arriving 15 minutes after the start time will not be allowed to participate in the class.

Please return to shore directly after class.

Boards or kayaks (for meditation classes only), paddles, life jackets, and anchors are provided. BYO props.

We recommend storing personal belongings in your car. We’re happy to hold keys in the trailer during class. There are no lockers on site.

Paddle Board Yoga with Mandi Gray and Anthony Strauss

Connect with the mind, body and breath, while floating on water! Join us for paddle board yoga every Thursday this season at 8am. This class will focus on balancing not only the body, but the mind, as we flow together in nature. Being on the water, surrounded by nature, can be a calming experience, reducing stress and promoting relaxation. The unstable surface of the paddle board challenges your balance and engages stabilizing muscles and core engagement. This is an all-levels class.

Gentle Yoga and Meditation with Mandi Gray

Connect with the mind, body and breath, while floating on water! Join us for paddleboard yoga every Saturday this season at 6pm. This class will focus on gentle yoga poses and meditation on the water. Being on the water, surrounded by nature, can be a calming experience, promoting relaxation and restoration. Meditation reduces stress and anxiety, improves focus, helps to regulate emotions, and improves quality of sleep. This is an all-levels class.
