What is BUILD?

BUILD is a subscription-based fitness program crafted to help you build muscle, strengthen your mindset & improve your daily habits.  This self-guided, 4 day a week strength training program provides on-demand workouts through the Trainerize App.  BUILD is the perfect tool to enhance your at-home workouts or take to they gym with you to add more structure and maximize your time.  It takes the guesswork out of strength training – think of it like having a personal trainer in your pocket! 

BUILD challenges you to get progressively stronger by keeping track of your workouts – including the number of reps and weight lifted with each movement – so you can BUILD on it for next time.  Your subscription includes 4 new workouts each week – 3 strength training and 1 metabolic conditioning.  Each session includes short videos that demonstrate the moves, plus tips from personal trainer & founder, Katy Ferguson.  In addition, you have access to previous weeks’ workouts to repeat on-demand.

BUILD workouts last anywhere from 20-40 minutes, making them attainable to squeeze into your busy day.  Expect 2 or more supersets (a few exercises you will do 3-4x each) in each full-body workout.  Plus, warmups, cooldowns and bonus core exercises are also included.

What Equipment is Needed For This 4 Day Strength Training Program?

Only 2 things are required – Dumbbells (preferably a light, medium & heavy set) & your phone to run the app.  Optional: Swap out dumbbells for different equipment like kettlebells or barbells.

Natalie’s Personal Experience with BUILD

When left to my own devices at the gym, I tend to feel a bit lost – especially when it comes to strength training.  I’m unsure if I’ve worked out long enough or hard enough, if I’ve used the right equipment or correct weights. Katy gave me an opportunity to beta-test BUILD, her new online coaching program, and I not only found it extremely helpful, but I really enjoyed it.  

BUILD takes the guesswork out of my strength workouts and has given me renewed purpose on the gym floor.  The program fits really seamlessly into my daily life, providing easy-to-execute workouts at home or at the gym.  My schedule is busier lately, which means it’s more challenging to make specific group fitness classes.   I love that BUILD is available on-demand for a full-body workout in a pinch.  It’s been a lifesaver this winter with our family’s busy holiday schedule and the kids home from school more than usual.

I use BUILD in conjunction with various group fitness classes/events to ensure I workout at least every other day and keep my sanity.   The more I use it, the more I realize how valuable it is in keeping me motivated to lift weights and get stronger.  I love that I can preview the workout in advance, by reviewing the videos beforehand (sometimes in bed the night before!).  And the accountability package is so worth the extra money, because you feel even more connected.  There is a coach sending you messages, supporting you & pushing you from afar.   I have always found Katy’s Instagram messaging and StrongHer group fitness classes to be empowering and this new fitness program, takes it all to the next level.  I’m excited to keep using BUILD and see how strong I can get this year!
